The Company
Our client is one of the world’s leading silver producers, operating multiple mines across the Americas, who has selected Globe 24-7 Inc. as its strategic recruitment and selection partner to successfully fill the above position and add value to the recruitment strategy with market knowledge, trends and a track record in conducting similar searches.
The Role
As VP H&S, you’ll lead safety strategies and implementation across the Company underground operations, spending most of your time in the field working directly with teams. You’ll drive serious injury prevention initiatives, coach site safety teams, and ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions. Your impact will reach 20,000+ employees across Latin America through hands-on leadership and cultural transformation.
Base location flexible within Latin America (Peru, Chile, Mexico, Argentina, or Brazil), with proximity to Company’s operations.
The Requirements
- Extensive underground mining experience with a strong safety leadership track record
- Proven success leading to safety improvements across multiple operations
- Experience working in Latin American mining operations
- Strong understanding of mining safety regulations across different jurisdictions
- Track record of successful engagement with senior operational leadership
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Inspiring leader with strong presence and ability to influence
- Hands-on approach with a preference for field-based leadership
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across cultures
- Results-oriented with a practical implementation focus
- Comfortable working at high-altitude operations (up to 4,500 m)
- Willing to travel extensively to operations
