Leading mid-tier gold producer, with domestic and international assets, requires experienced Superintendent ( Processing operations ) to work as part of a tight knit team, on a renowned WA operation.
Our client will fully relocate you and your family to Perth for the opportunity; they will also sponsor a visa of those currently working in Australia. To be clear, this opportunity is open to those with current Australian work rights only.
As part of a supportive team, and working under the direction of highly experienced management who is known for developing the skills and careers of his people, you will have the opportunity to become a very rounded & experienced Superintendent working on a demanding asset where you will get huge exposure to all areas of production and development.
With the operation working 12-hour firing cycles only per day, you will benefit from more time to enjoy the recreational perks of the operation. Our client also has the benefit of the airstrip being onsite, and therefore only a 5-minute transfer to your accommodation. Standards of catering at this operation are described as ‘excellent’.
The role :
- Develop long term operational plans to deliver the Life of Mine
- Plans that reflect the processing plant deliverable in the LOM strategy
- Contribute to Budget plan, and expenditure:
- Annual budget inputs
- Opex, capex Inputs
- Cost Control
- Monthly forecast
- Capex cash flow planning
- Oversee the operation of the plant to achieve budget requirements, limit process interruptions and co-ordinate with Shutdowns to optimize plant operations
- Processing Plant Operations:
- Monthly report
- Authorisation of Monthly budget spend for plant operations
- Control of Designated cost centers report on variances
- Team communication re progress on targets and budgets
- Process in place to monitor Process Control status for plant stability and optimization
- Procedures in place for timely and effective response to production problems
- Roster Scheduling
- Maintenance schedule review and actions to balance operational productivity with plant maintenance requirements
Processing Plant Shutdown:
- Ramp up/ Ramp down plans and sign-off for shutdowns
- Processing plant team co-ordination for plant shutdowns
Qualifications & experience:
- 8/6 – Rosta too – as flexible.
- Organising shutdowns/ Management of Plant
- Gold background much preferred
- 7 to 8 years operational experience with broad experience plant operations
- Even though have been looking for some time 3/4 months this is an immediate role with an immediate start
- Metallurgical qualification
- 6 years plus in Gold Processing role
- Experience as a supervisor
About you:
- Experience in maintaining mineral processing or heavy industrial plants, preferably with a background in the gold industry.
- Ability to work in environments with noise, dust, elevated workspaces, confined areas, extreme temperatures, water, and slurry.
- Capability to work effectively as part of a multi-skilled workforce.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Hold a current WA C Class Driver’s Licence.
- Ability to obtain a new National Police Clearance.
