Globe 24-7 is in search of a Senior Specialist – Talent Attraction & Sourcing to join the Newmont Lihir RPO! In this role you will partner with Site HR, Hiring Managers and Corporate Talent & Capability to ensure a robust external talent pipeline aligned with site-defined Key and Critical roles. Operating as a brand ambassador, you will build and maintain a network of candidates through proactive research, targeted content and messaging and ongoing relationship management, supporting in the delivery of high-quality shortlists.

What does the role look like?
The Senior Specialist – Talent Attraction & Sourcing will support the growth and success of the Lihir RPO. To facilitate this success, you will be responsible for:
- Proactively identify and engage with talent for critical roles, develop robust and thorough talent maps
- Advise and develop sourcing strategies to support future talent requirements within the portfolios
- Attend job briefs with Talent Acquisition Specialists; recommend and deliver a documented sourcing strategy and obtain hiring leader approval
- Provide valuable market intelligence to the hiring managers and stakeholders
- Utilise multiple communication channels to develop the talent pool and increase the active candidate pool providing consistent EVP and Values alignment placing high value on the candidate experience
- Collaborate with the onsite team to identify sourcing challenges, defining solutions and managing hiring leader expectations
- Discuss and agree on the candidate shortlist, collaborating with the hiring community
- Demonstrate well-articulated communication style whilst presenting shortlists, both oral and written
- Collate information, provide insights to internal stakeholders, capturing the content of candidate and market trends
- Recognise candidate shortage skills and advise the hiring community on best approach to mitigate risk
A little about your team
Reporting to the Manager – Talent Acquisition PNG you will be based in either Perth, Brisbane, or Melbourne, supporting the wider Talent Acquisition function spread across Perth, WA and PNG (Port Moresby Office and Lihir Gold Mine). This is a remote position with the option of working in our office in Perth, or in Newmont’s Brisbane Hub. You can plan out your week how you like, a truly flexible position allowing you to work varied start and finish times, depending on what your commitments are outside of work!
Are there any ‘must haves’?
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience within a similar role within Talent Acquisition
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems is highly advantageous (SAP Success Factors)
- Knowledge of different search engine behaviours (must have LinkedIn Recruiter exp)
- Knowledge/experience in mining or comparable heavy industry will be highly regarded
- Strong initiative and organisation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Advanced expertise for Office365 products
