Opportunity knocks for either an experienced Mine Manager, with a strong project delivery bent, OR an experienced Project Director, who would like to move into operations, in the fullness of time.
Our client is in the final stages of permitting, financing, and engineering design; and is embarking on mine construction in the imminent future. They need to now onboard the right individual to drive budget, scope, and timeline; and to manage closely the appointed designers / consultancies, vendors and EPC/EPCM’s.
The opportunity will be an open pit operation, with more than one asset, that will be developed / mined simultaneously.
With a strong geology and engineering team in place, who have developed the project thus far, the time has come to hire an experienced project delivery type, nuanced in open pit operational mining experience. The intention will be for this person to move into the Managing Directors role, as things fully unfold into production. The operation has a 12 to 15 years LOM.
The ideal candidate will be Brisbane based, or willing to relocate there. The Gold Coast would also work. Engaged parties, to include appointed consultancies, EPC/EPCM, and vendors, are largely east coast based. In the short term, the role can be worked remotely, but will require a site presence, as construction unfolds, to manage contractors; and then, once in full production, a relocation to regional NSW may be required.
