The Company
Globe 24-7 in partnership with an established and dynamic player in Africa’s mineral extraction industry, is seeking qualified professionals to support expanding operations. Our client is focused on sustainable growth and operational excellence, leveraging modern technology and responsible practices to drive production efficiency.
 
The Role
The incumbent will be responsible for implementing and supporting HR processes on-site, with a focus on operational readiness, workforce planning, and compliance with labour legislation. The role will work closely with site leadership and the corporate HR team to ensure that HR systems, policies, and procedures are embedded effectively as the operation ramps up.
The Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of HR systems, policies, and procedures aligned to site operations.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning activities for site-based roles.
  • Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation, including BCEA, LRA, and EE Act.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, grievances, disciplinary processes, and union engagement.

Maintain accurate HR records and support internal audits and inspections.
Partner with line management to support performance management, employee engagement, and retention initiatives.

  • Assist with compliance reporting (e.g. Employment Equity, WSP/ATR submissions).
  • Support change management and organisational development initiatives as the operation scales up.

 
The Requirements

  • A degree or national diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a mining environment — non-negotiable.
  • Strong working knowledge of South African labour laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Experience in HR operations during project development, commissioning, or early-stage mining operations will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and MS Office Suite.
