Lead Engineer
The company:
Our client is a long-established, privately-owned WA business, who are a market leader in all thing’s industrial fluid storage.
Working often on multi-million-dollar contract engagements, their client base is varied and includes large mining owner operators, leading oil and gas companies, leading engineering consultancies, and the Australian federal defence force.
The role:
Due to continued growth and success, Globe 24-7 has been engaged to secure a Lead Engineer, in an exciting role; reporting directly into the Operations Manager and covering the WA market.
The responsibilities of the Lead Engineer would include quoting, planning, managing project execution, and client liaison.
The Lead Engineer would also manage a small group of trades people, within the business.
We are particularly interested to hear from anyone with a significant, time served, ‘steel trade’ experience in boiler making, body building, or sheet metal work; who can demonstrate leadership and progression in their career. We are also looking for a high level of communication skill; able to liaise readily with multiple clients; and be willing / able to travel for their work. To be clear, travelling is not required on a FIFO basis, nor in regions of significant mining.
Ideal experience would include fabrication of industrial storage tanks, and associated peripheral manufacturing, pipework, stairs, handrails and platforms. Please note this experience is a desirable; so, any variation of similar experience would suffice. The role is remunerated to attract the very best in the market.
In addition to fabrication, our client also holds multiple maintenance contracts.
There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to progress into the Operations Manager role, in the short to medium term.
