The Company
Globe 24-7, in partnership with Reliable Controls Corporation, is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Supervisor for a mining project located in Greece. This role involves managing and supervising electrical commissioning activities to ensure a safe, efficient, and high-quality process for project execution.
 
The Role
The Electrical Commissioning Supervisor is responsible for directing the electrical commissioning team, planning and coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring all electrical systems meet or exceed project specifications. This position ensures compliance with health and safety standards and works closely with the commissioning manager and other stakeholders to maintain the project schedule.
 
The Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical systems and equipment.
  • Conduct and approve electrical testing, including meg-ohm, hi-pot, motor rotation, and run-in tests.
  • Oversee the inspection and walk-down of raceways, conductors, and equipment to verify compliance with installation drawings and specifications.
  • Supervise the energization of electrical components, such as switchgear, motor control centres, and transformers.
  • Monitor and report on punch list activities, resolving turnover exceptions and installation defects.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party representatives during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
  • Assist in developing and delivering training for operations and maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure adherence to project HSE standards, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.

 
The Requirements

  • Substantial hands-on experience in field supervision for electrical systems commissioning in mining, metals, or similar process facilities.
  • Proficiency in using and documenting electrical testing methods and equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of high and low-voltage systems, grounding, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with project management practices, safety protocols, and quality assurance processes.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Current and valid trade qualifications or licenses per local and international requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid passport and driver’s license with eligibility for work visas.
