Opportunity knocks for an experienced Chief Hydrogeologist, to work on a landmark APAC ‘mega project’, and at the greenfield stage.

Offering the rare opportunity to be involved prior to production, and to ‘own’ all things Hydrogeology, for operational readiness.

Working on an expat FIFO basis, from any reasonable, global, point of hire..

I am particularly interested to hear from experienced Hydrogeologists with a minimum 10 years of progressive experience in hydrogeology, with at least 5 years in mining and senior leadership roles.

** I am also looking for a strong knowledge of groundwater legislation, permitting frameworks, and environmental compliance requirements in mining jurisdictions; AND particularly for ARID jurisdictions. **

Despite this being a sizeable project, ultimately in the tens of millions of tonnes mined per annum, your operations ‘scale’ of experience is not important; hence this is an exceptional opportunity that could significantly elevate someone’s career, with a major producer, on a much publicised project.

In addition, I am looking for proficiency in both deterministic and stochastic groundwater modelling techniques; strong experience with tools such as MODFLOW, FEFLOW, PEST, Groundwater Vistas, and statistical analysis packages.

Also seeking demonstrated experience producing regulatory-compliant technical reports for mining projects, including those aligned with international disclosure standards (e.g., NI 43-101, JORC, SEC).

You will inherit a small, incumbent, team; who are all very capable.
