The Role
The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the company’s expansion across the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities. This role requires a proactive, target-driven individual with a strong business development mindset, capable of building key relationships and delivering results aligned with the company’s commercial goals. The position is based in Saudi Arabia and involves frequent travel throughout the region.
The Responsibilities
- Actively pursue and develop new business opportunities across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including prospective clients and strategic partners.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality technical and commercial proposals, incorporating tailored pricing strategies that align with client requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to monitor industry trends, assess the competitive landscape, and identify potential areas for growth.
- Utilize CRM tools—particularly Salesforce—to manage and update client data, sales activities, and pipeline tracking.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align business development initiatives with broader organizational goals.
- Lead contract negotiations with prospective clients, securing commercially favorable outcomes.
- Represent the company at regional industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to enhance visibility and drive engagement.
- Provide regular updates and strategic insights on business development progress, pipeline status, and market dynamics to the Vice President overseeing the MENA region.
The Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is an added advantage.
- Approximately 15 years of experience in the mining industry, with a strong focus on mineral processing and regional exposure.
- Prior experience in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is preferred.
- A well-established client network within the mining or mineral processing sector is required.
- Proven track record in business development, ideally within mining services or mineral processing.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop competitive pricing strategies and craft compelling proposals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse cultural and business environments.
- Highly self-motivated and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the MENA region.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic or French is a strong asset.
- Results-driven, with a high level of accountability and ownership.
- Culturally adaptable and confident operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Resilient and able to perform in fast-paced, dynamic settings.
