We’ve been in mining recruitment for more than 20 years and our leadership team is central to our success.

Alastair Fisher

Chief Executive Officer

Alastair brings over 20 years of experience within the African, European, and Asia Pacific markets, having worked globally in Consulting, Executive HR, and Senior Commercial roles across a range of industrial sectors, including mining and oil & gas. Alastair has held executive roles across both Fortune 100 and start-up organizations and is regarded as a novel thought leader in HR and talent acquisition practices, often presenting and lecturing at a variety of conferences and universities around the world. Alastair was also responsible for the development of the largest RPO (client-side) build in British talent acquisition history working with renowned global recruitment businesses.

Brett MacDonald

Chief Commercial Officer

Brett brings a wealth of experience in talent acquisition and management, with over 20 years working with multinational enterprises across the globe. He has in-depth knowledge of partnering with companies to help them achieve their best outcomes when searching for talent, particularly within resources, logistics, construction and chemical industries. With first-hand experience and success recruiting in Africa, Middle East, APAC and South America for both local and expatriate talent, Brett and his team, are able to support all areas of mining recruitment.

Justin has over 10 years of experience in talent acquisition and business improvement within the recruitment industry. He has extensive recruitment knowledge, initially working for Globe as a consultant and later joining the company to manage strategic initiatives and drive overall business improvement.  Prior to Globe, Justin was Managing Director at Tarsia Consulting, Group General Manager at Engineering Trades Australia and General Manager at Tecside.

Janine Chapman

Head of People and Culture

In her role as Head of People and Culture at Globe 24-7, Janine brings twenty years of experience in HR within the mining sector, including high-stakes manager-level appointments. Janine’s skillset encompasses HR policies, performance management, leadership, and employee relations, among other key skills that she will bring to the role. Driven by a passion for empowering individuals and aiding businesses in talent acquisition and retention, Janine promotes creating career opportunities, fostering engagement, and continued development.  

Bevan White

Bevan is an experienced Global Head of Talent Acquisition with a demonstrated history of success in building and leading high-performing in-house recruitment teams across diverse regions. Previously to Globe, he was the Global Head of Talent Acquisition at Rio Tinto, where he developed and executed comprehensive talent acquisition strategies, optimised recruitment processes, and fostered a culture of collaboration and excellence within multinational teams. Now at Globe, he will utilize his skills in aligning talent acquisition strategies with our business objectives to drive organisational growth and success.

Dewald Van Der Merwe

Global Sales Lead

Dewald is our Global Sales Lead. He holds a BBA Degree, coupled with more than 10 year’s recruitment and business management experience within the mining and engineering sectors. He enjoys contributing to the growth and success of our clients and our own organization. He has been directly involved in managing multi-million dollar engineering projects and has looked after key account clients. He has built-up a strong professional network during this time and can communicate well across all technical levels.
