HR Analyst
AngloGold Ashanti acquired the Sukari gold mine in Egypt through the acquisition of Centamin plc in November 2024. Sukari is owned in partnership with the Egyptian Government.
 
Sukari is located approximately 750km from Cairo and 25km from Marsa Alam on the Red Sea. First gold was poured in June 2009 and commercial production began in April 2010, making Sukari the first modern gold mine in Egypt, a country which in ancient times was a prolific producer of the precious metal. Sukari conducts both open-pit and underground mining operations, each employing specialised mining methods tailored to the orebody characteristics and operational requirements.
 
The Role
 
We are seeking a data-savvy and detail-oriented Employee Relations Analyst to join our HR team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our case management, compliance tracking, and ER analytics. You will work closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), site employees, and line managers to ensure smooth operations, accurate reporting, and effective grievance resolution .
 

  • Location: On-site in Marsa Alam
  • Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
  • Schedule: 20/10 working roster

The Key Responsibilities
 

  • Case Management & Fact-Finding: Manage the Navex system, execute case management processes, and handle fact-finding and investigations.
  • Data, Analytics & Reporting: Analyze, archive, and report on received grievances and cases. Utilize data platforms and Power BI dashboards to provide accurate HR reporting and decision support.
  • Risk & Compliance: Review and maintain the HR risk management tracker to ensure proactive mitigation.
  • Stakeholder Advice: Provide regular updates and guidance to HRBPs regarding submitted grievances.
  • Employee Engagement: Support the execution and delivery of various employee engagement projects.
  • Union Relations: Collaborate with the HR Services Supervisor and Superintendent to prepare inputs and responses for staff union requests.
  • Benefits Support: Serve as the point of contact for medical insurance challenges, efficiently routing issues to the correct contacts for resolution

The Requirements
 
Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: * 2–3 years of experience in an HR operational support role, OR 3+ years of HR experience with at least 2 years in an operations-based HR generalist role.
    • Experience within the mining or a related heavy industry is highly advantageous.

Knowledge & Core Capabilities:

  • Strong foundational knowledge of labor law, labor office regulations, and social insurance laws.
  • A solid understanding of case management, fact-finding, and workplace investigations.

Skills:

  • Analytical Power: Excellent analytical and data management skills, with specific experience using technical platforms and Power BI dashboards.
  • Communication: Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interface confidently with employees and management across diverse operational areas.
  • Organization: Top-notch organizational and time-management skills to handle dynamic site routines and meet tight deadlines.
