Globe 24-7 is pleased to announce that Lena Kozovski, Principal Consultant (Toronto), has recently joined the Board of Women In Mining – Toronto Branch. Globe 24-7 is a long-time proponent of women in the resources industry and has advocated gender diversity across a number of published articles and hosted events in recent years.
Lena comments on her induction into the Women in Mining Board stating, “I am pleased to join such a great and dynamic group of women that help to foster change and growth within our industry. It is so important to recognize the talent that we have within mining and women are being better represented today than ever before. There is more and more emphasize on changing the culture both from a corporate and field perspective and I am pleased that Globe 24-7 contributes to that change by educating our internal staff and clients on gender diversity within the workplace.”
In 2018, the IFC published a comprehensive Gender Report for women within the oil, gas and mining industry which now serves as a guideline and framework to provide organizations with support from the frontlines of the resources industry to the respective Boardrooms.
Lena added, “Companies should be cognitive of the fact that there is some great talent out there and we need to empower those individuals to excel and grow within their chosen careers and the IFC Report is a great tool for companies to draw on for support.”
