The Role:

We’re seeking a dynamic Training and Induction Specialist to be a key part of our gold mining clients HR function. The role is 21 days on and 14 off FIFO from Cairns to Porgera in PNG.
With a passion for inducting staff into a business and ensuring they are set up for success, you will work alongside your HR colleagues to revise the existing onboarding and induction process and implement ongoing training as required to keep employees upskilled. A focus on diversity and inclusion in this role is also key as is mine site safety training.

About You

Key Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Development:
    • Craft and execute comprehensive employment induction and development strategies to elevate workforce capabilities and enhance organizational performance.
  • Training Programs:
    • Develop and oversee training initiatives that are aligned with our organisational objectives and cater to the career progression of our employees.
  • Onboarding Process:
    • Lead the onboarding process to ensure a seamless transition for new hires, enabling them to integrate smoothly into our company culture and work environment.
  • Performance Metrics:
    • Monitor and assess the efficacy of training and development programs, leveraging key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience with health and safety training and inductions is also essential.

Qualifications & Exsperience

You will achieve success in the role if you have experience and qualifications in the following. 

  • Bachelor or Diploma qualifications in HR/ Education or another relevant field desirable
  • Certificate IV training and assessor
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Learning and Development desirable 
  • Previous experience in creating and implementing induction and training and development programs.
  • Experience with diversity and inclusion
  • Desired experience in online module development and implementation.
  • Previous experience in learning needs analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of learning programs.
