About our client
Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk is an Indonesian metal and mineral mining holding company headquartered in Jakarta. Merdeka explores, extracts, and produces gold, silver, copper, and other minerals through subsidiaries spread across three islands in Indonesia. Merdeka also has a subsidiary in the field of mining construction services.
The Role
Currently they are seeking a suitably qualified Project Manager for a 4 weeks on/2 weeks off FIFO role to Indonesia. Engineers qualified in the relevant discipline and who are across the design, supply, installation, and maintenance of purpose-built process plants should apply.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- You will be an expert at harnessing resources and be able to structure them to provide and manage the multi-disciplined skills required to deliver a total project from concept to completion. The role entails but is not limited to…
- Working to leverage project designs, whilst still being adaptable and able to provide innovative designs and modifications as required
- Work across an international project and progressing it through the project lifecycle from early concept development, detailed design, construction and operations
- Defining and recommending design specifications and performance of functional requirements
- Undertaking or supervising the preparation of studies, surveys and reports, design layouts, bill of quantities and cost estimates. Generating specifications and supporting the equipment evaluation and procurement activities during project execution.
- Effectively managing budgets and schedules during the execution and phases of maturity.
- Carrying-out site inspections and liaising with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers. Engineering support to installation, construction and commissioning teams
- Liaising with internal and external clients, other discipline professionals, and stakeholders within the industry to ensure the timely, accurate and cost-effective delivery of processing plant project
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
- At least 10 years’ experience, preferably in the project design, commissioning and onsite operation environments
- Experience with overseeing the building of a processing plant on a gold, copper or similar mineral mine site from start to completion.
- Communication and leadership skills combined with the ability to provide advanced technical solutions and problem solve are essential to the role.
