About our Client

Our client is a dynamic and growing gold miner with a strong presence in the Asia Pacific and LATAM regions. As their HRBP, you will play a pivotal role in driving their success by fostering a culture of excellence, talent development, and collaboration.

The Role

The HRBP serves as a strategic partner, bridging the gap between local HR teams and the companies business objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with the HR VP and business unit leaders, operational teams, and employees to enhance recruitment practices, talent management, and employee development. Additionally, you’ll champion the implementation of key people systems and facilitate collaboration across regions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Recruitment Excellence:
    • Identify and implement changes to recruitment practices for consistent and high-quality outcomes.
    • Cultivate a robust pipeline of external contacts to source qualified candidates.
    • Leverage online recruiting resources, employee referrals, and network connections to attract top talent.
  2. Cost Optimization:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline recruitment and onboarding processes, minimizing costs and waste.
  3. Talent Management:
    • Enhance talent management processes across blue- and white-collar positions.
    • Foster intra-region mobility and resource sharing through secondments and placements.
    • Collaborate with managers to develop growth plans for high-potential employees.
  4. Performance Management:
    • Drive performance discussions and support operational teams in managing underperforming employees.
  5. Front Line Capability Building:
    • Coordinate initiatives such as graduate programs and traineeships to enhance competence and behaviour alignment.
    • Design and implement leadership programs to elevate general leadership capabilities.
  6. National Workforce Enhancement:
    • Partner with operating sites to uplift national workforces.
    • Develop localised programs to expedite nationalisation efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an HRBP or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment practices, talent management, and performance improvement.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross-cultural environment.
