ERP Support Specialist
 
The Company
Our client operates on a large-scale copper and cobalt deposits, both open pit and underground, with high-grade mineral reserves. Metals production is conducted using up-to-date metallurgical processing. They are one of the world’s largest diversified natural resource companies, producing and marketing over 90 commodities worldwide. The company’s operations include copper, zinc, nickel, cobalt, and precious metals mining.
 
The Responsibilities

  • Manages the ERP Support team
  • Manages SAP SME role for warehousing at two sites
  • Ensure all support and project related tickets are closed on time for both sites
  • Manages and assist in all reporting requirements for both sites
  • Raising critical project and software issues to the IS Manager
  • Ensuring full change management process is followed for each system or reporting change
  • Establishing ERP needs via business process analysis and consultation
  • Providing technical support and training ERP end users for both sites
  • Preparing development progress updates and documenting ERP, system and information systems processes (including services provided)
  • Keeping abreast of the latest ERP and system upgrades and offerings
  • To capture or validate data in the ERP and other applications
  • Manage all on site installations, repairs, maintenance and testing.
  • Understand user requirements and make appropriate recommendations

 
The Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or similar preferred.
  • Certification in SAP ERP business process integration is critical
  • At least 2 years experience as an ERP specialist in a related industry
  • A background in business administration, project management, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP development tools, coding languages, and business processes
  • In depth knowledge of SAP modules i.e.FICO, PM, HRM, MM
  • 3-4 years work experience in Support or Other Support function or a customer service oriented, call center environment.
  • Proven experience in software implementations
  • Experience in Systems management tools
