We’re now seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to join our growing Lihir RPO project team supporting our client, Newmont. In this role, you’ll lead end-to-end recruitment for critical roles, coach hiring managers, and shape innovating sourcing strategies that help move mining forwards.
 

What you’ll do
 

  • Deliver end-to-end recruitment: from job briefs to interviews, offers, and onboarding.
  • Develop and lead sourcing strategies for critical and high-impact roles.
  • Champion the candidate experience—internal and external—through timely, clear communication.
  • Coach hiring managers on inclusive hiring practices and market engagement.
  • Use tools like LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean Search to find and attract top talent.
  • Collaborate across teams to build robust pipelines and talent pools.
  • Lead social media engagement for roles and campaigns.
  • Mentor junior recruiters and contribute to team development.
  • Conduct bi-annual visits to Lihir Island to engage key stakeholders onsite.

 
 
What you bring
 

  • Experience in recruitment, ideally in mining or heavy industry.
  • Skilled in strategic sourcing and candidate engagement.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust across all levels.
  • Familiarity with tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, PageUp, SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Comfortable managing multiple roles and priorities with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Qualifications in HR or experience in executive search/headhunting are a bonus.
  • Confirmation of applicable right to work.
