Project Manager – Mining Engineering
Our client has multiple gold producing operations globally and is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager with a Mining Engineering background to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving improvement and optimisation projects within the current operation and GM coverage from time to time. The balance of the role will have you focused on the reopening of an existing asset in WA. This role will be Perth based with site travel as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing strategies to optimise production and reduce costs.
- Overseeing all aspects of mining operations when required
- Ensuring that all mining activities are conducted safely and in compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Backup existing GM on site when required
- Project development
- Due Diligence
- Studies
- Identify critical project risks
- Ability and desire to be technically hands on
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or similar
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in mining operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of mining regulations and safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience in Open Pit & Underground environments desirable.
