Globe 24-7, in partnership with a key client in the Middle East, is working to source experienced and qualified talent to join their team.
The Role
The incumbent will be responsible for managing the development and evaluation of renewable energy projects from concept through to execution. This role requires a strong technical background, solid project management skills, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. Financial modelling experience is a plus, as the role involves supporting project origination and evaluation to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
The Responsibilities
- Lead the project development process for renewable energy projects, including site assessment, feasibility studies, permitting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with the other teams to identify and evaluate new project opportunities.
- Conduct technical evaluations of potential projects, including resource assessment and engineering reviews.
- Assist in financial modelling and analysis to support project valuation and investment decisions.
- Support the company with reviewing and assessing RFQs for EPCs and equipment suppliers and with the submission of tender proposals.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, landowners, and community groups to facilitate project development.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Prepare and present project proposals, updates, and progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Support the company with reviewing of project agreements such as PPAs, Grid Connection Agreements, EPCs, equipment supply agreements, O&Ms, etc.
- Be willing to travel as needed to project sites and stakeholder meetings.
The Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in project development within the renewable energy sector (Europe, Americas, and/or Africa).
- Strong technical background with a solid understanding of renewable energy technologies; experience with BESS is a plus.
- Proven experience reviewing PPAs, Grid Connection Agreements, EPCs, O&Ms, and RFQs.
- Experience in reviewing tender documents and preparing/submitting tender proposals.
- Financial modelling and project evaluation experience is an advantage.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and with external stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel frequently to project sites and attend meetings.
- Passion for renewable energy and a strong commitment to sustainability.
