Our client, a global mining giant is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Construction Projects Manager – Mining, based in Mokopane, Limpopo. Responsible for overseeing construction on site (MHSA) and outside (OHSA).
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Project Management or related field
- 10+ years’ experience in Construction
- Strong knowledge and experience in Environmental Monitoring, Construction & Risk Management
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance and application of Sect 22 and 23 of the Mine Health and Safety Act
- Issue NCRs and manage the close out process
- Lead all contractor on-boarding processes
- Conduct contractor meetings
- Contractor Management Monthly Audit
- Project implementation (e.g. TSF and fencing)
- Implement all Environmental monitoring per the EMP
- Adhere to the Environmental Closure plan, Action tracker
- Ergonomics and vibration, SOP Risk assessment
- Training compliance audits, action and close outs
- Day to day cost management
- Establish and manage a high performing team
- Provide leadership to the team, ensuring a work environment that is conducive to the achievement of the function’s targets and where employees can reach their full potential.
- Drives the training and development of staff, ensuring that the relevant performance management, career paths and succession plans are in place.
